"Some clues from 2017 for the picture’s reception:

• Fidesz representative János Pócs posted a photo of a slaughtered pig inscribed ‘Soros’.
   
• When asked by LMP representative Márta Demeter why he made friends with a businessman with a warrant out for his arrest on charges of terrorism, Viktor Orbán replied only with “Merry Christmas”.
   
• Lilla Sárosdi initiated the Hungarian #metoo campaign when she shared how an influential director harassed her 20 years ago. It later emerged that the person in question was László Marton, who was dismissed from the Vigszínház; at first he denied it, then apologised, and Sárosdi accepted his apology.
   
• Lilla Sárosdi’s husband, and the man lying in the picture in underwear, director Árpád Schilling, is a known oppositional activist.
   
• In the photo Sárosdi invokes Adolf Hitler’s distinctive hair and moustache, presumably referring to the fact that the government’s anti-Soros campaign is also apt for inciting anti-Semitism."
