The Shot
WORKING TITLE
THEATRE | In pre-production
San Francisco (US) | 2022
"Many people in the USA own guns legally. We understand why that is, but do we know what this means in the 21st century, in today’s circumstances, in the reality of everyday life?
I now have the opportunity to try out in the USA everything I have learned in Europe. I know it is not easy to accept the opinion of a person who came from outside, from far away. My task is to understand and to make tangible a problem: a case. I need to be sensitive, responsible, and honest. I think I know what to do. I do not know what will happen, whom I will meet, and what we will reach together, but I know that we have to find the sense of theatre.
This is a special moment in my life, and I think not only in professional terms. It is a great honour for me to be invited to work with such dedicated artists (teachers, activists, civil rights leaders?) like Amy Pinto and Brent Lindsay. The support Hewlett-Packard provides offers a great opportunity!" (Schilling Árpád)
A coproduction of The Immaginists of Santa Rosa and the Z Space of San Francisco.
